Megan with Flowers, Oil on Board (60 x 40), 2023. This portrait that I made in an exchange program at the University of Arts in London features a model holding flowers. I wanted to achieve an eye-catching effect by placing the flowers in the center of the composition and the eyes right beside them.

The composition of the reference photo was inspired by Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring. The model’s name is Megan Chapman, I shot the picture a week prior in a photography course at UAL. The painting was done with multiple glazing layers.
