Narcissus II, Oil on Canvas (60 x 60), 2024. Following a week after Narcissus I, this painting draws from the same visual language. The highlight is a detailed, ornamented mask. I wanted this work to be stunning, but leave some questions open for the viewer.

Like in the first painting of the series, I was also working on concision and only including symbolically important elements here. The stone mask represents for me a dedication to working on myself and my craft. The ornamentations

The stone mask is inspired by the incredible character design in the game Elden Ring. The ornamentation draws from Egyptian symbolism. In this painting I used a special chrome pigment to do the underpainting, giving the work a unique glow.
